Furnace Maintenance
With many cold winter months, it is important to make sure you are taking
care of your source of heat in your home. Much like a car’s engine, your
furnace is one of the key engines that helps make your home run.
The way your furnace works is, it pulls air in through an air return passed an
air filter, takes that air and pushes it past the burner assembly (Where
propane or natural gas is combusted) heating the air, then a blower pushes
that heated air into the air ducts in your home, thus heating your home.
The biggest part of keeping your furnace running like a well-oiled machine to
keep your home warm, is the air filter. The air filter keeps all airborne dust,
dander, hair, and other pollutants, out of the furnace components and inner
workings (motor, blower, burner, electrical). By having the wrong furnace
filter in place, you could either not be properly protecting your furnace and
home or you could be placing too much of a strain on your furnace system.
You can find the filter size on the furnace information label inside the front
removable furnace panel.
Your furnace air filter should be changed every 1-3 months depending on the
environment in your home. Hiring Liberty Home Services will take away the
concern of whether you have the correct filter, and the hassle of having to
remember to change out your furnace filter. We also take off the front
furnace panel and vacuum and dust out any debris that may have found its
way into the control board housing. Hire Liberty Home Services so you can
continue to have the warm fuzzy feeling in your home
